St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers (Washington, DC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles (Washington, DC), 54-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Anselm's Abbey upgrades its record to 4-15 on the campaign. The Panthers host Sandy Spring Friends (Sandy Spring, MD) to play the Wildebeests in a Potomac Valley bout on Thursday, February 1. The Wildebeests come into the bout with a record of 15-5.

Next up, the Eagles play the McLean (Potomac, MD) in a Potomac Valley bout, on Thursday, February 1. Model Secondary School for the Deaf will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record.
