The Brenham Cubs basketball team (Brenham, TX), was nudged 39-32 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX)

The Bears now possess a 26-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magnolia for a 5A Region III District 21 battle on Friday, February 2. Montgomery will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 52-35 league loss to Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-16.
