Texas High School Basketball - Cleburne knocked off by Centennial
January 30, 2024: Burleson, TX 76028 The Centennial Spartans basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Cleburne Yellowjackets to 34 in the Spartans league triumph on Tuesday.
The Spartans now sport a 23-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Joshua for a 5A Region I District 8 contest on Friday, February 2. Centennial will meet a Owls team coming off a 51-36 league loss to Burleson (Burleson, TX). The Owls record now stands at 16-16.
The Yellowjackets (15-17) will now prepare for their contest against Midlothian Heritage (Midlothian, TX). The Jaguars enter the 5A Region I District 8 contest with a 23-10 record. In their last contest, Midlothian Heritage ran past Seguin (Arlington, TX), 74-39, in a league contest.
