January 30, 2024: Oxford, MS 38655 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS) and the host Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS), saw Hernando's basketball squad knock off Oxford by a tally of 59-49.
With the victory, Hernando improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Tigers host Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS) to play the Eagles in a 7A Region 1 challenge on Thursday, February 1. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-16. Horn Lake lost 52-30 in their recent league challenge against Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS)
Next up, the Chargers play the Southaven Chargers (Southaven, MS) in a 7A Region 1 challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Oxford will attempt to improve on its 8-16 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 42-33 league loss to DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS).
