Maine High School Basketball - Leavitt overwhelms Winslow
January 30, 2024: Turner, ME 04282 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) and the visiting Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME), saw Leavitt's basketball squad wallop Winslow by a tally of 58-17.
With the victory, Leavitt improves its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Hornets host Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME) to confront the Eagles in a B South challenge on Friday, February 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 8-7. Lincoln Academy lost 54-29 in their recent league challenge against Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME)
Next up, the Black Raiders confront the Belfast Lions (Belfast, ME) in a B North challenge, on Friday, February 2. Winslow will attempt to improve on its 1-13 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 80-42 non-league loss to Oceanside (Rockland, ME).
