Texas High School Basketball - Princeton holds off Lovejoy
January 30, 2024: Lucas, TX 75002 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Princeton Panthers (Princeton, TX) and the host Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX), saw Princeton's basketball squad hold off Lovejoy by a tally of 46-39.
With the victory, Princeton improves its record to 22-10 on the campaign. The Panthers host Melissa (Melissa, TX) to confront the Cardinals in a 5A Region II District 13 challenge on Friday, February 2. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 21-9. Melissa won 59-32 in their recent league challenge against Denison (Denison, TX)
Next up, the Leopards encounter the McKinney North Bulldogs (McKinney, TX) in a 5A Region II District 13 outing, on Friday, February 2. Lovejoy will attempt to advance on its 21-13 season record. The Bulldogs go into the outing with a 24-10 record after their 62-39 league win over Princeton (Princeton, TX).
