In Tuesday's league outing, the Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC) basketball squad edged the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), by a count of 36-32.

The Redhawks (4-11) will now prepare for their outing against Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 11-7 record. In their last outing, Weddington was tipped by Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC), 56-47, in a league outing.

The Panthers now hold a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Forest Hills for a 2A/3A Rocky River outing on Friday, February 2. Piedmont will clash with a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 63-48 league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 7-9.
