Morton Panthers (Morton, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Northeast Jones Tigers (Laurel, MS), 43-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Morton upgrades its record to 23-1 on the season. The Panthers host Mendenhall (Mendenhall, MS) to play the Tigers in a 4A Region 5 bout on Friday, February 2. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 9-10.
