Virginia High School Basketball - Southampton Academy topped by Brunswick Academy
January 30, 2024: Lawrenceville, VA 23868 The Brunswick Academy Vikings basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Southampton Academy Raiders to 43 in the Vikings league victory on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Halifax Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 1. Brunswick Academy will battle a Vikings team coming off a 64-39 league loss to Rocky Mount Academy (Rocky Mount, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 3-14.
The Raiders (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA). The Knights come into the non-league contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot prevailed over Kenston Forest (Blackstone, VA), 39-31, in a non-league contest.
