California High School Basketball - Fremont holds off Cupertino
January 30, 2024: Sunnyvale, CA 94087 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) and the visiting Cupertino Pioneers (Cupertino, CA), saw Fremont's basketball squad hold off Cupertino by a tally of 41-36.
With the victory, Fremont improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Lynbrook (San Jose, CA) to confront the Vikings in a challenge on Friday, February 2. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 11-7. Lynbrook won 61-51 in their recent league challenge against Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA)
Next up, the Pioneers confront the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) in a challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Cupertino will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Matadors come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 62-50 league win over Kathleen MacDonald (San Jose, CA).
