January 30, 2024: Morehead City, NC 28557 In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) basketball squad edged the host West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC), by a margin of 28-24.
The Bulldogs (8-6) will now prepare for their outing against Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Pirates go into the outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, Swansboro held off White Oak (Jacksonville, NC), 34-29, in a league outing.
The Patriots now own a 4-10 record. They play next when they travel to Croatan for a non-league outing on Friday, February 2. West Carteret will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 51-41 non-league win over Richlands (Richlands, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 7-7.
