North Carolina High School Basketball - East Wilkes tipped by Elkin
January 30, 2024: Ronda, NC 28670 The Elkin Buckin' Elks basketball team scored 46 points and held the host East Wilkes Cardinals to 41 in the Buckin' Elks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Buckin' Elks now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Surry Central for a non-league contest on Friday, February 2. Elkin will meet a Golden Eagles team coming off a 32-27 non-league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 9-7.
The Cardinals (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Sauras enter the non-league contest with a 15-3 record. In their last contest, South Stokes nudged Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 55-45, in a non-league contest.
