Martin Tigers (Laredo, TX) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers confront the Cigarroa Toros (Laredo, TX) in a 5A Region 4 District 30 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Martin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Toros come into the match with a 1-7 record after their 11-0 league loss to Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX).
