January 30, 2025: West Liberty, IA 52776 In Thursday's non-league contest, the host West Liberty Comets basketball team scored a big 77-28 triumph over the Midland Eagles.
The Comets (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA). The Golden Hawks go into the River Valley contest with a 15-2 record. In their last contest, Mid-Prairie smashed Durant (Durant, IA), 94-57, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the Lisbon Lions (Lisbon, IA) in a Tri-Rivers battle, on Tuesday, February 4. Midland will attempt to advance on its 0-16 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 13-5 record after their 83-32 league win over North Cedar (Stanwood, IA).
