Alabama High School Basketball - Winston County fells Tharptown
January 30, 2025: Russellville, AL 35654 The Winston County Yellowjackets basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Tharptown Wildcats to 40 in the Yellowjackets non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 10-15 record. They play next when they travel to Falkville for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. Winston County will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 61-59 non-league loss to Ardmore (Ardmore, AL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 8-17.
With the loss, Tharptown falls to 0-18 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Belgreen (Russellville, AL) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Saturday, February 1. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 12-11. Belgreen won 66-55 in their recent non-league game against Cherokee (Cherokee, AL)
