Arizona High School Basketball - North Phoenix Preparatory Academy toppled by Arete Prep

Arete Prep CHARGERS (Gilbert, AZ) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators (Phoenix, AZ), 38-25 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Arete Prep upgrades its record to 10-11 on the year. The CHARGERS travel to Lincoln Prep (Chandler, AZ) to face the Lightning in a 2A East match on Friday, January 31. The Lightning enter the match with a record of 7-11. Lincoln Prep lost 43-20 in their recent non-league match against Glendale Prep Academy (Glendale, AZ)

The Gladiators now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Anthem Prep for a 1A West match on Tuesday, February 4. North Phoenix Preparatory Academy will face a Eagles squad coming off a 51-33 league loss to San Pasqual Valley (Winterhaven, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-8.
