The West Jefferson Buccaneers basketball squad (Harvey, LA), was nudged 31-25 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Benjamin Franklin Falcons (New Orleans, LA)

With the victory, Benjamin Franklin advances its record to 14-15 on the year. The Falcons host Riverdale (Jefferson, LA) to meet the Rebels in a 5A District 10 battle on Monday, February 3. The Rebels enter the battle with a record of 14-4.

The Buccaneers now own a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Lafourche for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 1.
