Island Coast Gators (Cape Coral, FL) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Cypress Lake Panthers (Fort Myers, FL), 47-27 in a league match.

With the victory, Island Coast upgrades its record to 7-16 on the year. The Gators host Lemon Bay (Englewood, FL) to face the Manta Rays in a 4A District 12 match on Friday, January 31. The Manta Rays enter the match with a record of 10-9. Lemon Bay won 48-37 in their recent non-league match against Ida Baker (Cape Coral, FL)

The Panthers now sport a 1-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverdale for a non-league match on Friday, January 31. Cypress Lake will face a Raiders squad coming off a 53-14 non-league loss to LaBelle (LaBelle, FL). The Raiders record now stands at 0-17.
