The Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) basketball crushed the visiting Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA), 62-38 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 12-4 record. They play next when they travel to Clinton for a Mississippi bout on Friday, January 31. Pleasant Valley will play a River Kings team coming off a 52-47 league win over North Scott (Eldridge, IA). The River Kings record now stands at 6-9.
