January 30, 2025: Shirley, AR 72153 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the West Side Eagles (Greers Ferry, AR) and the host Shirley Blue Devils (Shirley, AR), observed West Side's basketball team overwhelm Shirley by a score of 69-30.
The Eagles (28-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Rural Special (Fox, AR). The Rebels come into the 1A Region 2 challenge with a 24-4 record. In their last challenge, Rural Special trounced Norfork (Norfork, AR), 51-27, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Sacred Heart Rebels (Morrilton, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Shirley will attempt to improve on its 1-25 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 19-6 record after their 57-40 league loss to Wonderview (Hattieville, AR).
