The Hesperia Scorpions (Hesperia, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Apple Valley Sun Devils (Apple Valley, CA), 53-51 in Tuesday's league test.

The Scorpions (17-10) will now prepare for their test against Sultana (Hesperia, CA). The Sultans go into the Mojave River test with a 5-15 record. In their last test, Sultana was tipped by Serrano (Phelan, CA), 56-48, in a league test.

The Sun Devils now own a 13-11 record. They play next when they host Burroughs for a Mojave River test on Thursday, February 2. Apple Valley will encounter a Burros squad coming off a 68-62 league loss to Oak Hills (Hesperia, CA). The Burros record now stands at 14-9.
