Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Rochester overwhelms Avella
January 31, 2023: Rochester, PA 15074 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Rochester Rams (Rochester, PA) and the visiting Avella Eagles (Avella, PA), saw Rochester's basketball squad wallop Avella by a tally of 79-39.
With the victory, Rochester improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Carlynton (Carnegie, PA) to confront the Cougars in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Carlynton won 81-41 in their recent league challenge against Western Beaver (Industry, PA)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Cornell Raiders (Coraopolis, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Avella will attempt to improve on its 5-15 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 1-17 record after their 81-33 league loss to Union Area (New Castle, PA).
