Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Cumberland Valley Christian nips Calvary Christian Academy
January 31, 2023: Chambersburg, PA 17201 Cumberland Valley Christian Blazers (Chambersburg, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Calvary Christian Academy (Cresaptown, MD), 52-47 in a league bout.
With the victory, Cumberland Valley Christian upgrades its record to 7-9 on the campaign. The Blazers travel to Grace Academy (Hagerstown, MD) to play the Knights in a Mason-Dixon Christian bout on Friday, February 3. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Grace Academy lost 56-54 in their recent league bout against Heritage Academy (Hagerstown, MD)
Next up, the play the Salisbury Elk Lick Elks (Salisbury, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Calvary Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-12 season record. The Elks come into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 54-35 non-league loss to Ferndale (Johnstown, PA).
