The Mallard Creek Mavericks tipped the host East Mecklenburg Eagles basketball team by a final score of 64-62 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mavericks face the Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 60 game, on Friday, February 3. Mallard Creek will attempt to move on its 7-13 season record. The Huskies enter the game with a 14-7 record after their 67-55 league win over West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC).
