Iowa High School Basketball - Stanton nips Fremont-Mills
January 31, 2023: Stanton, IA 51573 Stanton Vikings (Stanton, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Fremont-Mills Knights (Tabor, IA), 77-72 in a league bout.
With the win, Stanton upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Vikings host Tri-Center (Neola, IA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 11-7. Tri-Center lost 64-31 in their recent league bout against Underwood (Underwood, IA)
Next up, the Knights play the Griswold Tigers (Griswold, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Fremont-Mills will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 0-18 record after their 77-27 non-league loss to East Mills (Malvern, IA).
