New Hampshire High School Basketball - Berlin holds off Newfound Regional
January 31, 2023: Berlin, NH 03570 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Berlin Mountaineers (Berlin, NH) and the visiting Newfound Regional Bears (Bristol, NH), saw Berlin's basketball squad hold off Newfound Regional by a tally of 41-35.
With the victory, Berlin improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Mascoma (Canaan, NH) to confront the Royals in a Division III challenge on Friday, February 3. The Royals come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Mascoma lost 46-42 in their recent league challenge against Fall Mountain (Langdon, NH)
Next up, the Bears confront the White Mountains Spartans (Whitefield, NH) in a Division III challenge, on Friday, February 3. Newfound Regional will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 54-36 non-league loss to Groveton (Groveton, NH).
