The St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting False River Gators to 12 in the Fighting Blue Jays league triumph on Tuesday.

The Fighting Blue Jays now sport a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westminster Academy for a 1A District 6 contest on Friday, February 3. St. Edmund will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 60-44 league win over North Central (Lebeau, LA). The Crusaders record now stands at 11-4.

The Gators (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA). The Vikings enter the 1A District 6 contest with a 3-12 record. In their last contest, Opelousas Catholic triumphed over Catholic of Pointe Coupee (New Roads, LA), 41-31, in a league contest.
