New Mexico High School Basketball - Socorro fells Hatch Valley
January 31, 2023: Hatch, NM 87937 Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hatch Valley Bears (Hatch, NM), 61-43 in a league bout.
With the win, Socorro upgrades its record to 4-17 on the season. The Warriors host Cobre (Bayard, NM) to play the Indians in a 3A District 3 bout on Thursday, February 2. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 6-14. Cobre won 63-36 in their recent league bout against Hot Springs (Truth or Consequences, NM)
Next up, the Bears play the Hot Springs Tigers (Truth or Consequences, NM) in a 3A District 3 bout, on Friday, February 3. Hatch Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-15 record after their 63-36 league loss to Cobre (Bayard, NM).
