January 31, 2023: Spotsylvania, VA 22407 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Massaponax Panthers (Spotsylvania, VA) and the visiting Brooke Point Black Hawks (Stafford, VA), saw Massaponax's basketball squad hold off Brooke Point by a tally of 37-34.
With the victory, Massaponax improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Patrick Henry (Ashland, VA) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Patrick Henry lost 62-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA)
Next up, the Black Hawks confront the Potomac Senior Panthers (Dumfries, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 1. Brooke Point will attempt to improve on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 75-48 non-league win over Charles J. Colgan (Manassas, VA).
