North Carolina High School Basketball - West Craven holds off Greene Central
January 31, 2024: Vanceboro, NC 28586 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the West Craven Eagles (Vanceboro, NC) and the visiting Greene Central Rams (Snow Hill, NC), saw West Craven's basketball squad hold off Greene Central by a tally of 54-52.
With the victory, West Craven improves its record to 15-1 on the campaign. The Eagles host Farmville Central (Farmville, NC) to confront the Jaguars in a 2A Eastern Plains challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 10-8. Farmville Central won 72-49 in their recent league challenge against Washington (Washington, NC)
Next up, the Rams confront the Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC) in a 2A Eastern Plains test, on Friday, February 2. Greene Central will attempt to advance on its 5-15 season record. The Chargers go into the test with a 2-18 record after their 53-23 league loss to Farmville Central (Farmville, NC).
