January 31, 2025: Holcombe, WI 54745 Birchwood Bobcats (Birchwood, WI) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Lake Holcombe Chieftains (Holcombe, WI), 76-55 in a league match.
With the victory, Birchwood upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Bobcats host Drummond (Drummond, WI) to face the Lumberjacks in a non-league match on Monday, February 3. The Lumberjacks enter the match with a record of 10-6. Drummond won 58-37 in their recent league match against Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI)
The Chieftains now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clayton for a Lakeland - East match on Tuesday, February 4. Lake Holcombe will face a Bears squad coming off a 63-42 league win over Prairie Farm (Prairie Farm, WI). The Bears record now stands at 8-6.
