Virginia High School Basketball - Staunton thwarts Fort Defiance
January 31, 2025: Staunton, VA 24401 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA) and the visiting Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA), observed Staunton's basketball team knock off Fort Defiance by a score of 84-69.
The Storm (16-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA). The Cougars come into the Shenandoah challenge with a 13-6 record. In their last challenge, Stuarts Draft prevailed over Riverheads (Staunton, VA), 63-49, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Indians encounter the Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA) in a Shenandoah challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Fort Defiance will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Bison come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 95-51 league loss to Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA).
