Kentucky High School Basketball - Franklin County triumphant over Western Hills
January 31, 2025: Frankfort, KY 40601 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY) and the visiting Western Hills Wolverines (Frankfort, KY), observed Franklin County's basketball team overwhelm Western Hills by a score of 72-39.
The Flyers (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Spencer County (Taylorsville, KY). The Bears come into the non-league challenge with a 13-9 record. In their last challenge, Spencer County trounced Gallatin County (Warsaw, KY), 70-56, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wolverines battle the Tates Creek Commodores (Lexington, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Western Hills will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Commodores come into the challenge with a 8-10 record after their 85-59 league win over Paul Laurence Dunbar (Lexington, KY).
