In Friday's league contest, the visiting Malvern Prep Friars basketball team scored a good 67-58 triumph over the Germantown Academy Patriots.

The Friars (16-6) will now prepare for their contest against Haverford School (Haverford, PA). The Fords go into the Inter-Academic contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, Haverford School topped Peddie (Hightstown, NJ), 47-46, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Hill School Rams (Pottstown, PA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, February 1. Germantown Academy will attempt to better on its 7-12 season record.
