January 31, 2025: Hartley, IA 51346 Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks (Hartley, IA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Trinity Christian Tigers (Hull, IA), 52-36 in a league match.
With the victory, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn advances its record to 7-11 on the year. The Hawks host George-Little Rock (George, IA) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 1-17. George-Little Rock lost 59-27 in their recent non-league match against South O'Brien (Paullina, IA)
The Tigers now own a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union for a War Eagle match on Tuesday, February 4. Trinity Christian will meet a Royals squad coming off a 73-40 league win over Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA). The Royals record now stands at 16-2.
