In Friday's league test, the Walnut Ridge Scots (Columbus, OH) basketball squad knocked off the host Independence 76ers (Columbus, OH), by a score of 62-49.

Next, the Scots clash with the Olentangy Orange Pioneers (Lewis Center, OH) in a non-league test, on Saturday, February 1. Walnut Ridge will attempt to improve on its 14-5 season record. The Pioneers come into the test with a 14-2 record after their 75-60 non-league win over Bishop Hartley (Columbus, OH).
