Maine High School Basketball - Telstar triumphant over Islesboro Central
January 31, 2025: Bethel, ME 04217 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Telstar Rebels (Bethel, ME) and the visiting Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME), observed Telstar's basketball team overwhelm Islesboro Central by a score of 69-19.
The Rebels (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Carrabec (North Anson, ME). The Cobras come into the non-league challenge with a 13-4 record. In their last challenge, Carrabec trounced Greenville (Greenville, ME), 64-29, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Vinalhaven Vikings (Vinalhaven, ME) in a D South challenge, on Saturday, February 1. Islesboro Central will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 78-29 league loss to Wiscasset (Wiscasset, ME).
