January 31, 2025: Williamsport, PA 17701 Southern Columbia Area Tigers (Catawissa, PA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Loyalsock Township Lancers (Williamsport, PA), 62-41 in a league match.
With the victory, Southern Columbia Area advances its record to 9-8 on the year. The Tigers host Warrior Run (Turbotville, PA) to face the Defenders in a Heartland III match on Monday, February 3. The Defenders enter the match with a record of 16-2. Warrior Run won 82-35 in their recent league match against Hughesville (Hughesville, PA)
The Lancers now own a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bloomsburg for a Heartland III match on Monday, February 3. Loyalsock Township will face a Panthers squad coming off a 48-32 league loss to Mifflinburg (Mifflinburg, PA). The Panthers record now stands at 10-9.
