New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys (Moneta, VA), 67-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, New Covenant advances its record to 15-6 on the year. The Gryphons travel to Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA) to face the Celtics in a Virginia Independent match on Tuesday, February 4. The Celtics enter the match with a record of 16-8. Roanoke Catholic won 90-45 in their recent non-league match against Roanoke Valley Christian (Roanoke, VA)

The Ospreys now own a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Timberlake Christian for a Virginia Christian - Southeast match on Monday, February 3.
