The Veterans Warhawks basketball squad (Kathleen, GA), was nudged 67-62 in Friday's league battle with the host Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets (Thomasville, GA)

With the victory, Thomas County Central advances its record to 13-7 on the year. The Yellow Jackets travel to Houston County (Warner Robins, GA) to meet the Bears in a AAAAA Region 2 battle on Saturday, February 1. The Bears enter the battle with a record of 18-5. Houston County lost 64-61 in their recent league battle against Lee County (Leesburg, GA)

The Warhawks now own a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northside for a AAAAA Region 2 battle on Saturday, February 1. Veterans will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 56-50 non-league win over Peach County (Fort Valley, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 10-10.
