In Friday's league contest, the host Bishop Guilfoyle Marauders basketball team scored a close 62-60 triumph over the Bishop McCort Crushers.

The Marauders (15-2) will now prepare for their contest against Philipsburg-Osceola (Philipsburg, PA). The Mountaineers go into the Laurel Highlands contest with a 2-16 record. In their last contest, Philipsburg-Osceola was tipped by Forest Hills (Sidman, PA), 63-29, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Crushers confront the Greater Johnstown Trojans (Johnstown, PA) in a Laurel Highlands contest, on Monday, February 3. Bishop McCort will attempt to better on its 13-3 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 10-5 record after their 57-41 league win over Bedford (Bedford, PA).
