January 31, 2025: Fairmont, MN 56031 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Fairmont Cardinals (Fairmont, MN) and the visiting Blue Earth Buccaneers (Blue Earth, MN), observed Fairmont's basketball team overwhelm Blue Earth by a margin of 89-32.
The Cardinals (14-5) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Peter (St. Peter, MN). The Saints come into the non-league challenge with a 11-8 record. In their last challenge, St. Peter trounced Worthington (Worthington, MN), 62-28, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Buccaneers battle the Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) in a AA Section 2 challenge, on Sunday, February 2. Blue Earth will attempt to better on its 0-18 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 14-19 record after their 80-37 non-league loss to Caledonia (Caledonia, MN).
