With the victory, Plainview advances its record to 18-12 on the year. The Bulldogs host Lubbock (Lubbock, TX) to meet the Westerners in a 5A Region I District 3 battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Westerners enter the battle with a record of 15-17.
The Longhorns now own a 5-23 record.
