January 31, 2025: Houma, LA 70364 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) and the visiting Centerville Bulldogs (Centerville, LA), observed Covenant Christian Academy's basketball team overwhelm Centerville by a score of 52-16.
The Lions (9-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA). The Eagles come into the 1A District 7 challenge with a 19-7 record. In their last challenge, Central Catholic trounced Jeanerette (Jeanerette, LA), 63-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the South Terrebonne Gators (Bourg, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 3. Centerville will attempt to improve on its 3-12 season record. The Gators come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 48-40 league loss to South Lafourche (Galliano, LA).
