Virginia High School Basketball - Charles City holds off Northampton
January 31, 2025: Eastville, VA 23347 The Charles City Panthers basketball team scored 32 points and limited the host Northampton Yellowjackets to 30 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they host King William for a Tidewater game on Monday, February 3. Charles City will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 54-19 league loss to West Point (West Point, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 1-14.
With the loss, Northampton falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Snow Hill (Snow Hill, MD) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Monday, February 3. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 7-6. Snow Hill lost 50-36 in their recent league game against Parkside (Salisbury, MD)
