Arizona High School Basketball - Desert Edge nips Washington

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Desert Edge Scorpions basketball team scored a close 31-27 triumph over the Washington Rams.

The Scorpions (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Paradise Valley (Phoenix, AZ). The Trojans go into the 5A Desert West contest with a 10-12 record. In their last contest, Paradise Valley nipped North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ), 59-24, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Rams battle the Copper Canyon Aztecs (Glendale, AZ) in a 5A Central Valley contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Washington will attempt to better on its 5-12 season record. The Aztecs go into the contest with a 5-13 record after their 37-21 league loss to Sierra Linda (Phoenix, AZ).
