Virginia High School Basketball - George C. Marshall thwarts Falls Church
January 31, 2025: Falls Church, VA 22042 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA) and the host Falls Church Jaguars (Falls Church, VA), observed George C. Marshall's basketball team knock off Falls Church by a score of 45-29.
The Statesmen (11-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Generals come into the District 2 challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Washington-Liberty prevailed over McLean (McLean, VA), 40-26, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Jaguars encounter the Hayfield Hawks (Alexandria, VA) in a District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Falls Church will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 15-5 record after their 60-52 league win over Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA).
