Virginia High School Basketball - George C. Marshall bested by Washington-Liberty
January 10, 2025: Falls Church, VA 22043 Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA), 49-32 in a league match.
With the victory, Washington-Liberty advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Generals travel to McLean (McLean, VA) to face the Highlanders in a District 2 match on Monday, January 13. The Highlanders enter the contest with a record of 4-4. McLean lost 42-33 in their recent non-league contest against Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (Bethesda, MD)
In their next game, the Statesmen battle the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) in a District 2 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. George C. Marshall will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The Saxons go into the contest with a 9-3 record after their 40-33 league win over Yorktown (Arlington, VA).
