Virginia High School Basketball - George C. Marshall holds off Herndon
January 17, 2025: Falls Church, VA 22043 The George C. Marshall Statesmen basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Herndon Hornets to 40 in the Statesmen league triumph on Friday.
The Statesmen now possess a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Wakefield for a District 2 game on Friday, January 24. George C. Marshall will confront a Warriors team coming off a 45-32 league loss to George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-6.
With the loss, Herndon falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Hornets host Yorktown (Arlington, VA) to confront the Patriots in a District 2 game on Friday, January 24. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 4-9.
