The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) and the host Gruver Greyhounds (Gruver, TX), observed Vega's basketball team edge Gruver by a score of 33-26.

The Longhorns (19-7) will now prepare for their challenge against West Texas (Stinnett, TX). The Comanches come into the 2A Region I District 1 challenge with a 16-15 record. In their last challenge, West Texas was tipped by Stratford (Stratford, TX), 78-22, in a league challenge.
